Patti & Michael on Vitamin B-12

View descriptionShare

Vitamins are carbon-containing (organic) molecules that are essential for normal metabolism. However, they cannot be made in our body in sufficient amounts which makes dietary intake of vitamins important. There are thirteen different vitamins, categorized depending on whether they dissolve in water (water-soluble) or can be absorbed with dietary fat and stored in the body (fat-soluble).

In today’s episode, we focus on Vitamin B-12, the largest and most complex water-soluble vitamin. Hear about why we need it, how we get it, and what happens when you’re deficient.
