It is always a treat to relive a musical diamond from the past and 50 years ago, England Dan and John Ford Coley enjoyed worldwide, life changing success with a radio favourite 'I'd Really Love To See You Tonight.' Sadly, England Dan has left us but John Ford Coley is still going strong and it is a thrill to have him on this episode talking about the swings and roundabouts of an eventful musical life.

The H Files with Kevin Hillier Episode 45 John Ford Coley & Con Delo from Hindley Street Country Club

Sunnyboys are back. It's debatable whether they ever left, but they are reforming for a big one-off show in Brisbane on October 23rd at the Roma Parklands and the release of a special box set celebration of their debut album.

Richard Burgman - guitarist in the original and most celebrated Sunnyboys lineup - takes us from the beginnings of the band to the preparation for the upcoming gig.

Sunnyboys were power pop personified and with that came a meteoric rise to the top of the Top 40 charts across the country. The ride was a thrill a minute, until it wasn't. Richard does not shy away from the highs and lows that came with pop stardom.

Richard also has a lot of non-Sunnyboys musical experiences as a member of The Saints, Weddings Parties Anything and of late The Hovering Spooks, which he also shares.

Check out the latest Sunnyboys news and tickets for the gig https://sunnyboysofficial.com/

The H Files with Kevin Hillier Episode 44 Sunnyboys Richard Burgman.

In a world where superlatives are handed out far too early and easily, Don Walker has earned and deserves more than the dictionary allows. Still a member and major songwriter with the iconic Cold Chisel, Don's latest solo project is Love Songs a collection of very personal songs spanning more than three decades. Don talks about the songs, his songwriting process, the music he likes to listen to and the latest on any future Chisel plans and a vampire book he is working on.

Grinspoon frontman Phil Jamieson ventures into solo waters with his new album 10 Charlie. Phil shares the very personal stories behind some of the tracks and his excitement of making a solo record.

Unfortunately shortly after the interview Phil fell on stage and broke his back, causing his 10 Charlie tour to be cancelled. We wish him a speedy recovery and hope he is back on stage soon.

The H Files with Kevin Hillier Episode 43 Don Walker & Phil Jamieson.

It's a killer episode with the always enchanting and engaging Tania Doko from Bachelor Girl buzzing about the release of Waiting for the Day: Artists Sessions - a reimagining of their 1998 debut album and their national tour.

Tania and James (Roche) are joined by Guy Sebastian, Ella Hooper, Tommy Emmanuel, Jessica Mauboy, Delta Goodrem and many more, with new versions of their songs including the classic Buses and Trains.

And the hits keep coming as Kev chats to Justin Currie - singer and songwriter with del Amitri who are touring here in 2027, playing all the hits that pumped out of the radio in the nineties. Nothing Ever Happens, Kiss This Thing Goodbye and Roll to Me are just three that still pop up today and rightly so.
