Sunnyboys are back. It's debatable whether they ever left, but they are reforming for a big one-off show in Brisbane on October 23rd at the Roma Parklands and the release of a special box set celebration of their debut album.

Richard Burgman - guitarist in the original and most celebrated Sunnyboys lineup - takes us from the beginnings of the band to the preparation for the upcoming gig. 

Sunnyboys were power pop personified and with that came a meteoric rise to the top of the Top 40 charts across the country. The ride was a thrill a minute, until it wasn't. Richard does not shy away from the highs and lows that came with pop stardom. 

Richard also has a lot of non-Sunnyboys musical experiences as a member of The Saints, Weddings Parties Anything and of late The Hovering Spooks, which he also shares.
