'What's done is done', that seems to be the Election Commissioners' stance as they prepare to simply follow the rules and move forward. But who will pay the price for the hardships endured by the people who frantically scrambled to register their names on the electoral roll? As the enormous question of how the Commission will now regain public trust looms large, Jomy Thomas, Malayala Manorama's Delhi Chief of Bureau, reviews the current situation in the 'India File' podcast.

Thampu was a mischievous baby elephant living in the Whirling Woods. He spent all day playing with his friends and was very reluctant to go to sleep at night. One full moon night, a silvery light blanketed the entire forest. Gazing up at the sky through the swaying treetops, Thampu spotted the radiant, round moon!...Let's listen to the story.

The Uniform Civil Code is set to be introduced in 21 NDA-governed states by 2029 according to Amit Shah, sparking a debate on its fragmented, state-by-state implementation rather than a national rollout. This move raises questions about constitutional protections for tribes, the regulation of live-in relationships, and the BJP's underlying political strategy. In the 'India File' podcast, Malayala Manorama Delhi Chief of Bureau Jomi Thomas analyses the NDA's strategy.

There were a few houses on both sides of that road. Everyone was so busy that they rarely even saw each other directly. If, by chance, someone stepped out occasionally and they happened to meet, a word or two, a fleeting smile, and that was it. However, the vines and flowers on the walls of those houses were good companions. They felt a little sad that these householders lived without any affection for each other. Then one day, the butterflies and bees that came to visit those plants learned all about this predicament. "What's the way to bring all these residents together?" What was then? Let's hear the story...
