Our guest in this episode has lived through tragedy and loss that no parent should experience. Rosie Batty AO.
Her role as a domestic violence campaigner began in 2014 after her 11-year-old son Luke was murdered by his father in Tyabb.
Rosie’s story jolted Australia into recognising that family violence can happen to anyone and is unfortunately far more common than we think. Her courage and willingness to speak out has made Australia a far better place.
In 2015 Rosie was recognised as the Australian of the Year. Then in 2019, she was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia as part of the Queen's Birthday Honours.
