In 1969, the Harlem Cultural Festival was a joyous celebration of Black culture, music and Harlem, in a time of so much societal shift. Despite how powerful this festival was, for decades, it was erased. The 2021 documentary Summer of Soul (...or, When the Revolution Could Not Be Televised) brought this restored footage to public.
