For this book club, we dig into issues around consent and rape culture and how fanfiction can be a tool of cultural activism with Milena Popova's work DubCon: Fanfiction, Power and Sexual Consent. Through tropes like the Omegaverse, arranged marriage and Real Person Fiction, as well as the tagging system, we discuss what fanficiton can tell us about consent and what a world without rape culture could look like.
