Advocate Mohomane for Northwest businessman Brown Mogotsi has argued at the Madlanga Commission that repeated interactions between Chief Evidence Leader Advocate Matthew Chaskalson and Mogotsi created strained relations and raised concerns about impartiality. Mohomane questioned why Chaskalson continued engaging with Mogotsi after previously labelling him a liar during testimony. Commission chairperson Acting Deputy Chief Justice Mbuyiseli Madlanga challenged the argument, saying corroboration of information would naturally follow after receiving it. Northwest businessman Brown Mogotsi has applied for the recusal of Chief Evidence Leader Advocate Matthew Chaskalson at the Madlanga Commission, accusing him of aggressive and humiliating questioning during testimony.
