ANC Secretary-General Fikile Mbalula says the party's National Executive Committee has reaffirmed its full support for ANC President and President of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa, dismissing speculation about his possible recall or resignation. Briefing the media after the NEC meeting, Mbalula said Ramaphosa's mandate from ANC branches and South African voters remains intact until the party's next national conference in 2027. He stressed that neither the recent constitutional court judgment nor ongoing parliamentary processes would disrupt government operations or the work of the Government of National Unity. ANC officials were earlier briefing the media at the Luthuli House in Johannesburg, following the party's Special National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting convened to deliberate on organizational and national matters of importance.
