If you think the French are revolting, you are right, but they are not alone. Here is your weekly serve of the Ruck 'n Roll revolution which includes (in no particular order):
An ultra indulgent review of Ultravox live at the Palais
An insightful review of J.D. Fortune live in Melbourne
An incredibly self serving review of the Spring Racing Carnival
A good St. Kilda footy story! No really, it is.
Random culinary observations with zero nutritional validation
A surprisingly sensible discussion about the ARIA Hall of Fame

Put on your dancing shoes, your favourite Chesty Bonds singlet and matching lycra bike shorts.

The fashion police and the fun police are on a break. So let it all hang out, hombres.

This Means Nothing to Me.

The dreaded post-gig lurgy has floored Ken, who is missing this week. The fact he spent a lot of time with SJP last week is pure coincidence. Said no-one.

That aside, there is lots to talk about this week, including South Melbourne’s amazing Australia Cup victory, AFL trades, cricket in South Africa, running out of petrol and of course the Spring Racing Carnival gets a guernsey.

Warning:

If you follow SJP’s tips you have already lost your mind. Your shirt will follow.

Spring Fever's got a Hold.

Like a caged beast in a David Attenborough doco, Stephen J Peak has again been released into the wild, or as it is better known in environmental and ecological circles - Fitzroy. The Evelyn Hotel to be precise, where a special breed of female homosapiens known as Hot Machine were introducing new, exciting sounds from some prehistoric gizmo known as - a record album. Stephen and Sherpa Ken Francis survived and we hear their tale in this episode.

In other parts of this wildlife adventure, we talk about humans being swapped so they can kick a pigskin around, other humans throwing flying projectiles at a piece of wood and fine equine beasts racing each other with fancy dressed small creatures sitting on top of them.

Comin' in Hot.

The 2026 AFL Grand Final unpacked from go to woe!

We have it all covered - Kylie flying, Dockers crying, Melbourne weather, Kylie's leather, Wharfie Time blue, Kylie's hairdo. What more could you ask for?

It's a rhetorical question, move on.

It's Showtime (Bertie Beetle bag not included)

Where the Wild Roses Don't Grow

It's the three Fs everyone is talking about - Football, Farnham and Fashion - and you won't find a better podcast to provide you with the worldly and wordy wrap up of all the F words. As you know, we know all the F words.

Finey dials in from downtown Daylesford to give his Grand Final thoughts and predictions. SJP is filthy about the behaviour of footy crowds and wants them severely punished by the league and the law.

Ken saw the Farnham tribute show and is glowing about a world class musical night and only has one sour note - no free to air. Ken also shares Kylie's little known musical connection to the Lions ahead of her Grand Final appearance.

Heat up the party pies and sausage rolls and cool the tinnies, it's time to Ruck 'n Roll.

We're all Someone's Son.

If you thought the NFL lit up the City of Melbourne, and it did, wait 'til you hear about the other invasion of the CBD from the NFI. If you don't know what that stands for, then you are obviously a card carrying NFI member.

The musical flood gates opened as our intrepid legal beagle braved the noctural nasties to attend a musical séance to revive the pulsating punk and rejuvinating rock of The Damned. It is a concert review like no other. And before you can say Rat Scabies three times while gargling battery acid, the show has moved from the NFI to the AFL, the NRL, the EPL and the bloody L - time to go.

It is a full plate of tasty offerings. There's Dockers, Rockers, Shockers, Knockers and Wocka Wocka Wockas.

Ruck On!

The Sun that makes the Day.

Standby for shocks and surprises as the faint waft of warmer weather dents the bozone layer and a sliver of 2026 shines on proceedings, delivering a rare foray into music made since the turn of the century.

Ken reviews Hot Machine's latest gig and previews their debut album. But wait, there's more: Finey has discovered a English pop star Sienna Spiro, who is younger than most of Stephen J Peak's socks.

Pass the smelling salts because that's not all.

Spoiler alert: Clarkson gets boned, tennis fans get stoned, the Crows get no love and where is that missing glove?

Four Strong Winds

Finals, Fathers, Football, Food and several other F words get quite a workout this week, but it is the E words that bring the self-appointed resident show wordsmith to his knees. Spoiler alert: the E words may or may not include emasculated, emaciated, erection, eviscerated, easy, ego or elephant. All are in the room.

There is a healthy serving of footy talk, a pinch of racing news, a sprinkle of darts, a spoonful of tennis and sadly a big helping of farewells in a star-studded Deathalyser. Vale Dolly.

Grab your Oxford, Collins, Macquarie or even your Funk and Wagnalls and suspend your tenure with the English language.

Bloody Well Right !

In a packed podcast, we review all the AFL sides that didn't make the top ten. There's also cricket, EPL, AFLW and the Deathalyser.

Even non-working new speakers cannot silence the legal eagle when he takes flight. When it comes to discussions regarding the Bombers, Stephen J is 'hird' loud and clear. Ken unplugs himself mid show (who can blame him), but despite those technical hiccups, we soldier on.

The tipping competition is now in the rear vision mirror and as expected, Finey is the Tipping King and the wooden spoon resides in the House of Francis.

And to finish, some startling revelations about the rather 'Oliver' type childhood activities of one member of the ensemble.

Listen Like Thieves.

Crown King Fine the Tipping Guru. As the home and away season comes to a close, Finey, like the AFL Dockers, has top spot under lock and key. Kev, like the AFL Swans, is in second spot and that is where the similarity ends. The battle for the all important and less embarrassing third spot is on like Donkey Kong. Ken holds a one point lead over SJ Peak.

If that is not enough excitement for one week, wait - there's more. Thanks to questions supplied by our listeners (both of them) the origins of each panellists' football loyalties is revealed along with the answer to the question: What did you want to be when you grow up?

The program also contains Logie references, mindless waffling, piss taking, questionable cricket selections, unqualified racing references, general gibberish and verbal flatulence of an epic nature.

Have your boarding pass ready for inspection. Ruck ON!!!!
