Isn't it interesting (and super annoying) that sometimes amidst our conscious awareness of some aspect of ourselves and our capabilities (in other words 'knowing') we can simultaneously grapple with an unconscious opposing belief (hello imposter syndrome and anxiety). These usually show up and bring us undone at the worst of times, hindering either our performance or even worse, our decision to initiate and have a crack at all. It happens in sport, business, relationships and just life in general. I unpacked this today with Jem amidst another great conversation around happiness, love and deep contentment, and a reflection on what shapes our identity and how our identity shapes our reality.
