Anxiety, we ALL experience it. Every single day, in fact. And thank goodness for that, as it is a message and a barometer signaling when things in our environment or experiences aren't quite right. However, it's a continuum and sometimes anxiety can be prolonged and become chronic. Or sometimes, like Dr. Jodi, some of us can experience anxiety disorders despite having no circumstances or experiences to warrant such. Dr. Jodi recalls experiencing anxiety from a young as 4, although it wasn't until her mid 20's after getting diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder, that she began to better understand and manage her mental health experiences.
Now between sharing a LOVE for martial arts along with chocolate and cookies, I've successfully landed myself another bestie in Dr. Jodi. We could have talk for hours and I'm certain this won't be her last appearance on the show. This particular conversation is full of insight along with practical and valuable advice around anxiety, depression and mental health.
