There’s a phrase many people have heard before in relationships: “We’re staying together for the kids.” For some families, it comes from a place of love, sacrifice, and the desire to give children stability. But for others, it can raise difficult questions about personal happiness, emotional wellbeing, and whether staying in an unhappy marriage truly benefits anyone in the long run. we’re exploring a complex and deeply personal topic: what happens when parents put their own lives on hold for the sake of their children? Does staying together always create the stability families hope for, or can it sometimes delay personal growth, healing, and happiness for the adults involved? To help unpack this, we’re joined by Relationship councillors, Zeenith Nonyana and Dr Cibi John Francis
