Raised by a mother he describes as his soulmate and navigating the realities of apartheid-era Cape Flats, his voice carries the echoes of struggle but also of healing and hope. From Ivory Park to global airwaves, today’s guest is a DJ, producer, mentor, and cultural curator shaping the sound of South African dance music. He started DJing at just 12 years old, taught himself how to produce music as a teenager, and went on to become a respected voice on radio and beyond. You’ve heard his mixes on YFM, seen him take South African sounds to international platforms like BBC Radio, and now he’s also investing in the next generation through his DJ Development Centre. But beyond the decks, he’s building something bigger. We speak to him about how he is creating opportunities, sharpening skills, and helping shape the future of African electronic music.

Over the course of his career, he has performed on some of the most iconic albums and graced prestigious concert halls alongside exceptional musicians, establishing himself as a respected and dynamic voice in contemporary music. He hangs out with us as we explore his musical journey.
