From the streets of Elsies River in Cape Town to becoming an award-winning author, today’s guest has turned a life marked by hardship into powerful storytelling that speaks to the heart of the human experience. Writing across poetry, short stories, motivational work, and biography in both Afrikaans and English he draws from a deeply personal journey shaped by love, loss, faith, and resilience. Raised by a mother he describes as his soulmate and navigating the realities of apartheid-era Cape Flats, his voice carries the echoes of struggle but also of healing and hope. We’re joined by author, poet, and storyteller, Peter Daniels also known as PeeDee.
