After years of making music behind the scenes, investment banker Sam Mokorosi is officially launching his music journey with his debut single, Tell Your Mama We Made It, which is  the first release in a conceptual five-single series rolling out through the first half of 2026. Blending pop, R&B, and soul, the feel-good anthem was written as a love letter to his wife, celebrating 20 years of marriage. He hangs out with us as we find out more about his journey.

The recent Department of Basic Education and UNICEF South Africa Study revealed that 43% of households in South Africa have zero access to books. The 2023 National Reading Survey, launched by the Nal’ibali Trust on 13 June 2023, found that two-thirds of homes with children under age ten do not have a single children’s book, and only 10% have more than ten books. This means most South African children arrive at school without important early home learning experiences. We are in conversation with Roscoe Williams, programme director of Read2Rise about how they are promoting literacy in under-resourced communities in South Africa.

We are in conversation with  The Eastern Cape Health MEC, Ntandokazi Capa who has officially launched a landmark In-Vitro Fertilisation clinic at Nelson Mandela Academic Hospital in Mthatha. The facility, developed over ten years at a cost of 18 million rands, becomes one of only five public hospitals in South Africa to offer IVF services. The clinic is already operational, with more than ten patients currently undergoing treatment, signalling a major breakthrough in access to specialised fertility care for women and couples in underserved communities. We speak to the MEC as we speak about the role of the IVF Unit in supporting individuals and couples experiencing infertility.
