Cape Town is famous worldwide as a destination for tourists and digital nomads, but it is now dealing with a public health crisis: a sharp rise in sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Nearly 4,000 people are seeking treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STIs) every month at City Health clinics in Cape Town. That’s roughly 130 visits a day in a city globally marketed as a digital nomad paradise. We are in conversation with Medical practitioner, Dr Jane Semugga on the long term effects of contracting an STI.
