End-of-life planning for blended families - considering financial planning, burial rights

View descriptionShare

The traditional ‘nuclear’ family is no longer the norm, and financial planning has had to evolve to cater to more diverse, and often complex, family structures. From differing opinions on how to honor the one who passed on, conflicts over traditions, and decisions regarding who should play a role in the service can lead to disagreements. Families may struggle with balancing the wishes of the surviving spouse, children from a previous marriage, and extended family members, all of whom have their own unique relationships with the departed. We are in conversation with COO and co-founders of Sendoff,  Thabisile Sethaba  as we unpack end-of-life planning for blended families.
