LISTEN: Police are confident that the obtained witness statements will help investigators speedily arrest those responsible for Sunday morning’s mass shooting in Bekkersdal.

Nine people were shot and killed by a group of unidentified gunmen who randomly opened fire at a tavern in the west of Johannesburg.

Ten more individuals were wounded during that shooting.

A multidisciplinary police unit has been deployed to Bekkersdal to trace the involved killers, as shocked residents demand justice.
