Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi has officially announced that the provincial government is set to resume the expansion of the Gautrain rail network. Speaking during his State of the Province Address (SOPA) on Monday, Lesufi detailed a significant growth strategy aimed at integrating more regions into the high-speed rail system. The proposed expansion will stretch the network to include major hubs such as Soweto, Atteridgeville, Mamelodi, and Fourways, as well as various parts of the West Rand.
