Lester Vacances is one of the people making up the packed - and tough - busking scene in Petersfield, with his easy listening trombone jazz.

Lester speaks to Mike Waddington about what he does and why and also some of the downsides to the work when you want to be a professional musician and Lester has been playing and performing for 30 years. He explains why he is encouraged by Miles Davis.

A busker's story

The Sandy Close Group have brought Halloween back bigger than before at the Petersfield Bookshop, over three days -  29, 30 and 31 October - hoping to top last year's 1,000 jumping attendees.

Justin Ballard tells us the plan - but not all of it  - and also talks about his tool and kitchenania business (on Chapel Street) in the new layout of the Petersfield Bookshop. 

The Bookshop's Rob says on the changes made, “the more they change the more they stay the same.”
