Rob Mason has a PhD in education and makes his living working with professional sports coaches on how to communicate better. Communication is his thing… it’s how he makes his living.

Then along came Ned, his newborn. And Rob had to learn a whole new style of communication. In this episode Rob shares his experiences of applying his communication knowledge to his family life.

Kate and Rob discuss the importance of open communication and support between partners during the transition to parenthood, the pressure of trying to be the "perfect" parent, and the importance of understanding your partner's needs and love language. They also touch on the challenges of balancing work and parenting, and the value of having a supportive network of other parents to share experiences with.
