(00 - 4:45) David Bass joins Marcy to talk about the upcoming Harvey's Lake Run. Returning for a second year after a near decade-long hiatus, the Harvey's Lake run and regained it popularity. Bass said the 8.2 mile run will take place May 16th, and will start and end at Grotto Pizza. Proceeds from the event will support community programs - particularly around first responders. (4:46 - 30) Myasthenia Gravis is a rare and chronic autoimmune disease that affects the nerves and muscles in the body. Vera Krewsun, Heidi Claus and David Yonki join the show to shed a spotlight on the disease and local support group for area residents living with Generalized MG - or gMG - and highlight and upcoming free educational event happening on April 23rd. Vera's husband, Harry, helped start the group, based out of Moosic, in 2011. He was diagnosed with MG in 2004. The trio hope to spread awareness of the disease and educate the public on symptoms such as droopy eyes, difficulty breathing, double vision, speech difficulty and more. The free event will be held at Harvest Seasonal Grill in Moosic and feature speakers, information and more.
