Colonoscopy is a procedure in which a doctor uses a flexible tube with a camera on one end, called a colonoscope or scope, to look inside your rectum and colon. The recommended age for this procedure/cancer screening is 45 years old. Sadly, many people will develop polyps that turn cancerous. The good news is a Colonoscopy can show irritated and swollen tissue, ulcers, polyps, and a cancer link, this is why it is so important for people to consider getting one. In this episode, Maria shares her Colonoscopy experience (from start to finish) along with personal tips to make the prep slightly more bearable.
