WI Farm Tech Has A New Look And Potatoes Say "Enough" Water

View descriptionShare

Wisconsin Farm Technology Days is gearing up for the big event Aug. 13-15 in Chippewa County.  The show will look different though.  Bob Bosold talks to show manager, Anna Maenner and county economic development coordinator, Charlie Walker, about why the group decided to host the show at the grounds of a country music fest.

There are a lot of crops in Wisconsin that have been handling the abundant moisture pretty well.  Wisconsin potatoes aren't one of them.  Stephanie Hoff talks to Alsum potato agronomist, Seth Olson, about soggy potatoes in sandy soil and how it's cutting yields.

Data.  It's a big part of the story for production agriculture today.  That data is also turning into sales for Wisconsin's dairy industry.  Charitee Seebecker talks to Suzanne Isige, Director of Market Research for Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin.  She says the money invested by Wisconsin dairy producers is invested in secondary data that's helping over 260 dairy companies across the state make informed decisions. Paid for by Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin.
