The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection is again offering the opportunity for students to be involved in the Wisconsin Agriculture Youth Council. It offers students the chance to learn more about Wisconsin ag and careers, as well as network with others in the industry. Secretary of Agriculture, Randy Romanski shares details about the program and that he's excited about what is ahead.
If you’re in need of a new breeding bull to cover your beef cows this summer, then you may want to head to Platteville, WI this weekend where 71 lots of bulls of multiple breeds will sell as part of the Wisconsin Beef Improvement Association’s annual bull test sale. For 65 years the WBIA has held the bull test, putting bulls from different breeders around the state on feed, collecting data and providing customers with quality animals. Allan Arndt, president of the WBIA Bull Test tells a little bit about the program, how they’ve changed and adapted over time and what they’re excited to provide their customers this Saturday.
