The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) has announced the fourth Wisconsin Agriculture Youth Council. The selected members will be high school seniors during the 2023 – 2024 school year, and they will serve a one-year term on the council. The current Wisconsin Agriculture Youth Council members will conclude their term on Thursday, May 11, 2023. DATCP Secretary Randy Romanski explains what the purpose of this council is and how it is helping to provide the next generation of the agricultural workforce.
“This council is full of bright, talented, and educated youth that went through a rigorous application process,” says Romanski. “Each year it really makes me smile to see how much they grow from when they start in May to when they end.”
