By Newsbreak Producer Matthew Veeran - The South Africa Palestine Movement Youth Committee has launched an urgent relief and advocacy campaign for hundreds of immigrants and refugees in Durban who have been displaced from their homes and forced onto the streets. Now it has emerged that many of the affected hold valid legal documentation, but are still facing severe safety threats, hunger and alleged brutality from both vigilante mobs and law enforcement. In a call for Pan-African solidarity, the organization is urgently requesting public assistance, through donations of material supplies like diapers and cooked food.
