By Newsbreak Producer Matthew Veeran - Scientists in India have created the world's most detailed, three-dimensional digital map of the human brainstem, offering an unprecedented cellular look at the organ's most delicate and densely packed region. This digital atlas is known as "Anchor" and was built by analyzing hundreds of tissue sections. It works by seamlessly bridging the gap between whole-brain MRI scans and microscopic cellular pathology. With this, researchers have a foundational tool that will help neurosurgeons navigate the brainstem more safely - fundamentally transforming our understanding of neurological health.
