Ambassador Reddy was responsible for re-restablishing socio-economic ties between India and South Africa after the significant 1994 democratic dispensation. Ambassador Reddy had to lay the foundation for a good working relationship between the two countries which also helped establish programmes for locals to gain valuable education, visitation and learnership opportunities in India. Commissioner Dr Rajendran Govender of the CRL Commission worked closely with Ambassador Reddy and her team and says she was a very passionate diplomat who helped develop programmes that benefit South Africans to this day.......

Only 61 of the 62 accused appeared in court this morning. They are facing charges including incitement to commit public violence, terrorism and conspiracy to commit murder. The accused are out on strict bail conditions. SABC Reporter Celemusa Zulu has the latest from court ......
