By Newsbreak Executive Producer Salma Patel - A Durban mother of an Autistic young adult is spearheading a no-fee school for children with autism. The school will be based in the larger Chatsworth area, south of Durban. Sheraine Reddy-Subraya got the idea to establish the non-fee paying autism centre after she underwent a double mastectomy when diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer. Reddy-Subraya says she then used the proceeds from her policy payout to register the non-profit organisation "Autism Excellence Alabaster Box" to help parents and children with autism with the necessary support they need without the exorbitant costs involved...
