This after she described South Africans as having "little ambition" and a "poor work ethic" in a post on X. The remarks have raised questions about academic responsibility, xenophobia and the limits of free speech in South Africa's universities. We spoke to Dr Sheetal Bhoola - researcher and lecturer in the Department of Sociology at the University of Zululand about the implications Professor Roy's statements for social cohesion and accountability in academia.....
