Indian South African's have lamented the slow pace in bringing the Ethekwini Council member who made a racial slur to book. The incident took place on the 6th of November at the ICC in Durban- where an un-identified Council member said "Go back to Bombay" to DA Executive Councillor Yogis Govender. The slur was made during a debate on a monument honouring the 1860 Indentured Indians. EThekwini Municipality's Speaker of Council, Councillor Thabani Nyawose, has strongly condemned a racist remark and is investigating.
