Kate Nipperess was a professional, race-winning jockey when, in 2016, a trackwork accident left her a paraplegic. After a lot of work, incredibly, Kate’s now back riding horses, with her eyes on competing at the 2024 Paris Paralympics. She and Steve discuss the benefits of wheelchair rugby – for sporty and non-sporty people alike – and how seeing herself as “a weapon” changed her outlook on life after injury.
