Wayne Warren’s spinal cord injury didn’t come by way of a dramatic accident. It came as a result of a spinal tumour, caused by a bacterial infection known as golden staph. Wayne and Steve met during their recovery and in this conversation, chat about getting back outdoors – behind the wheel, in the ocean, and on aeroplanes – while wrangling wheelchairs, catheters and all the adaptive kit that can come with life after injury.
