Dr. Shirley Zinn is a renowned South African business leader, author, and advocate for education and transformation. Born on the Cape Flats, she began her career as a teacher before rising to senior HR roles at Woolworths Holdings, Standard Bank, Nedbank, SARS, and Reckitt. She now serves on several major boards, including Sanlam, SpurCorp, and Spar Group, and is Chairperson of the V&A Waterfront and WESGRO. A Harvard graduate with a Doctorate in Education, Dr. Zinn is the author of the best-selling autobiography “Swimming Upstream” and co-author of “The Power of Visualisation.”
