Goodness, culture? What is this kind of inflection you've put on a special guests, I'm saying it out loud. I wanted to really make a choice. You love saying the lost cultures? Yes, I sort of put it up in the register. Go ahead, I placed it in my mask. Try it, ding dong. Last cultural stas calling you hear it in the mask. I hear it in the safe way to do it. I'm trained, but only recently, really recent Well, because we're having polyp. I had to go see a vocal Now culture says, you might not know about this, but Josh Sarp had to have a vocal polyp or moved from years of abuse. It's true, that's really true. Years of abuse. That'll get you in the shop. It'll get you in the shop. In the shop, they'll slide under the undercarriage and say, don't look good. She's running, but it don't look good. So how are things now with the voice with some other country? I went into my doctor, a lovely man last name. Can I say I love a male doctor? Thank you. Can we get more male doctors? I mean she's especially in this actually really culture number seven? Can we get more doctors? I mean she's christ Um. He told me. He looked down, shoved at the camera down my throat as they do, and he said everything looked perfect. Okay, they go up the nose and on the throat with the little camera. I love that descriptive word perfect perfect, he said. And when I was there three months ago, he said, don't worry because I had to have a surgery. He was like, the surgery worked. That looks good, but you still have some inflammation to come back in three. That's never what you want to hear today. Perfect By today, I mean last week. That's great. So the last time I saw you were releasing your wiggle. Is that the big freed to con That's true. Rogers and I went to see um the Queen d of the Dickie to herself and Miss Big Frieda on Saturday, and it was really fun. She came on at what to thirty in the morning. Yeah, it was very late, programming late and they had a hard out at four am ya, but she has to say she did a hard forty five minutes. I've never seen dancing like this. A woman got on her hands on a raised platform, putting her legs up in the air. She took God, she climbed herself top an emergency exit and truly where people in the place stashed their coats up there, slid some out of the way. It could have been killed. Hands on the floor, feet on the wall, twerked, could have been killed. Every almost actual was screaming. It was until they had a polyp, you know. Uh. Friend of our guest, Mary Sassin, texted me saying when she saw Frida in l A, that same dancer hung from the balcony and twerked that same one. I wish I had gotten her name so I could follow on Instagram. I love to do that. Whenever I go to a show and I like one of the performers, I'll promptly follow them on Instagram. Me too, I always read a playbill and if they link on Instagram, I find them. The chorus boys, particularly the ones who were like so excited, dude, chorus boys. I love them. Did you stand the best chance? Because they usually have one thousand followers or something like they're going to notice or he's not gonna notice when I follow him friend of the show, and he might notice, you know. Finnian's Rainbow was a show that I saw one time, and one of the chorus boys that I thought was making eyes at me all throughout the evening. I was probably wrong, and that was before Instagram. You can fucking imagine that. I fully I love when you like buy theater, like when you fully fall fall. Oh yeah, when to the illusion. First time Hamilton's, First time I saw Hamilton's at the Public pre Broadway. Ah Philippa Sue says, you know the orphanage single single tier rolls down her face, afterwards, Michael Caine was there. We see each other in the lobby where like Philippa was really feeling a Cruise Caine, Michael Cruise Lane, Hot Daddy. We were like, Philippa was really in it tonight, don't you think? And then had to talk for five minutes and realized she was acting. But we're like, wow, Philippa, but overcome and can I say something about needing to remind yourself that it's acting? Oh boy, our guests, let me tell you straight from an interview with Backstage Magazine, we have our guests lest you need reminding that she's an actor and act told let me say something about this guest and this is actually the real truth. Have you seen the other two season one yet? I've seen two thirds of it. Okay, it's really good. It's really good, and you know I was actually it doesn't fall off at the end. I haven't seen the last three apps. But right now I can tell you, right now from my mouth to your ears and gods who's always here, that the orphanage I put a lecture on the end. I always do. You know, it's really good even in the end, even so many times shows they aren't good in the end link wink um. I don't know why I did that, but it's it's good all the way through. And I was so moved by the show that I picked up my goddamn phone and I texted our guest and I said, this was really good. I'm awaiting doing that. I hope you don't aren't offended that I'm waiting till the end to text you. Yeah. No, I was a little bit like, where's the where Social I'm actually waiting for the Big Premier as they called him industry, the big Premier, which by this time the episodes release, it will already be out and all of our listeners will already be appreciate. And I just want to say who this is. You've seen him on a billion dollar properties, You've seen him on the stage of the U c B where he is an icon. You've seen him on backstage and hostage the same day. He is vast, he contains multitude, and his name is Say it with me, bitch, Drew Tarvar. Welcome to Loss, as you called the today. He lost me and said excited for Loss, So I said, yes, you know why, I thought I was maybe going to misspell the other word I'm I'm pretty stupid. Can I tell you something? It's right now? Culturesta. I sounded it out and done it, but I wanted to be like hip and cool. I was like excited for loss. I listen, I think that's really good. Of course today what's very cool as a Brieves. Yes, we call a lost culture. You know what. I think it's good that you just did owning your ignorance saying I'm stupid. You know who? You know? Who's an idiot who keeps trying to say this? He always says, last coast, last Costa Ricas. Tell my own father is Las Costa Rica's going on tour. And I'm like, see how you're making it sound like the appropriation it often gets accused for me, Costa Rica's Costa Rica, Like, not just one of that island, several you were to multiply that. I'm on a sketch group called Big Grande. Yes, and I'm little word. I don't think it's okay, No, it's we're stuck to it. I'm like, is this okay? See? I think Big Grande is perfectly fine because the comedy of it is the word big and grand they mean the same classic comedy of the translation is big big, big Big, or for our Hispanic listeners. Yeah, it had nothing to do with Arianna Grande. That name no, because she got nothing to do with no. Because for a while the their their couple name was Big Grande, and we were excited about that because we had that name. We had the name, of course, and of course, um but they stole it. Teams copyright first thing mark. Yeah, we almost sell out every time we We were excited to use that in some promotional stuff like to come see the real Big Grande. We thought, you know that, you know what, also could have been really fun. And I find with sketch groups often the fun part putt in the poster together. Oh, I to love putting the poster together from your show. Sometimes take a serious photo and we'll be like, we're artists, right of course, And then of course it's it's it's actually a really big rule of culture. I'm gonna say it, and then we'll repeat. Of course, when you do comedy, you have to look hot in pictures. It's actually a big rule. Now is this your first big rule? This big rule, This is the first big rule of culture. You have to start a new list it's it's rule number it's it's big rule number one. And when you're a comedian, you have to look hot, and everyone here is a hot comedian. Yeah, I just looked around it and you saw only hot and I saw only comedy people. Right, of course, both people at this table. When I first met them, I nudged a friend and said, what's their deal? I did for which one of you occas said what's your deal? I nudged Brandon Scott Jones and said, what's your deal? The night we found out probably what your deals were the night we made out at the club, and I sort of felt your famous. That was the second and that was even only two nights after we had first met, and I couldn't believe that you showed up at that event. And I was like, I think this guy seriously wants to film my dick through my jeans, and he did. She was We never got there. But you know, I'm feeling your ankle right now through absolutely, how is it? It's good? Well, you know, it's a little swollen, and I was going to say your ankle is girth and it's vainy again as well, but actually this is a real story. I was leaving. I was leaving UM Bar show the other night and I turned my fucking ankle coming out of the UM I walked out of that door, and I actually it was one of those things where I was like, see you guys later turned around. Don't say it's not brave what we do. Don't say we don't put our lives on the line. I put my life on the line to do five to seven minutes, and then I promptly almost killed my Were you making a big exit and bift it? You were kind? It's one of those things where you kind of slay a joke on the way out. Wrapped the scarf and then turned the ankle, wrap the scarf and turn the ankle front on her. For title of that Meg Pulpe, write that down all right, So she's working hard, she's busily working writing on her pencil and just put it down. She got it. She is a HPM, very good at what she does. Congrass What is all that stuff? She was writing? I have a feeling? What is it that you? Can you say it out loud? Can you do courtrooms? Short him? Yeah? So quick? That's right. She got it right, she got it, So listen, um you're not in New York very much. You gotta pack schedule, you know, being a star now and everything isn't that schedule is packed. Gotta meet mom for Margarita's right after this. Now where mom mom? Mom is in town. I'm assuming you said this before we started recording. I'm assuming she's a Chevy Chevy Chases restaurant, Chevy is Times Square, probably drinking a margarita. And she, uh, she is religious. Well, we grew up Christian and yeah, she's religious. Ye. Yeah, you're from Georgia, Georgia. Yeah, like rural honey boo boo Georgia. Okay, yea Christians and yes we are the rural Christians comedy we are. Yeah, that was our show that quickly got canceled. I want to see that. Though bad, we said some terrible things, Yeah it was. It was bad to not only Christianity, but every religion as you can imagine. Um, we all know the one religion that's you know, responsible for everything that's bad in the world, or Astrianism anyway. Okay, so my mom, my mom, she recently started kind of loosening up, okay, loosening up her kids a star, So is she she finished, so she's like, is it real? Maybe? Yeah, yeah, my son defied the Yeah, my son is doing this, so God doesn't exist. I'm gonna drink um, so she'll occasion, but she's never drank, so she'll just slam to Margarita's. And this is at least when I go back home, and she'll just she'll start like sort of powering down and then just kind of be like, who, I need to go take a nap in the truck, and she will. We will have one sleep. Does she have a bad Well, you're usually. I mean where I'm come from, there's always one truck with you at all time. It's either my dad's truck, my brother's truck. There's a truck near you, it's in your bedroom. Yes, it's because you have to you have to drive twenty miles to get like any restaurant, forty miles to get to a movie theater. And so we'll go there, we're gonna have dinner, then we're gonna go to a movie movie and usually Mom is asleep in the truck. Georgia, can you buy liquor on Sundays? Carolina? You know I'd have to sell liquor on Sunday in America today. Yeah, I also left a dry county, so there's no you have to go a county over makes you go twenty miles to Smitty's. You have to go twenty miles to Smitty's just to get liquor. And that really promotes, well it shouldn't, but it promotes. Yeah, I mean absolute big time. I mean Smitty's. If don't go anywhere near Smitty's after eleven pm, somebody's gonna hit run you over. Growing up, my county um didn't have a movie theater, so we were sort of cinematically dry. Good to drive over to go to the movie. Yeah, me too. Yeah, and I saw nothing and I'm still my reference basis paying for it. This is crazy because my only concept of growing up is that everyone around you is an alcoholic, and being from Long Island where I'm from, so it's just like the functional alcohol well functional end quotes, alcoholism is just rampant. Yeah. I think we could use like like one week a year where the government says like, okay, guys, like slow down, like this is your dry week, Long Islands, Dry Island. Try this week. Actually, oh man, no, it's too much. I go back home and I'm like, I had been in New York for a while and then I went back home and I was like, oh, actually I brought my boy. I brought Henry back for the very first time, and he was like, We've drank with every meal. Even for breakfast there was bloody Marys on the table. I'm like, yeah, my dad likes to buddy Mary's what he was like, it's it's just crazy to me how much we're drinking here. And I was like, oh, and he's from Michigan and the family is also dry. So this is the thing around America that I just can't even fathom. It's it's very weird. And I grew up thinking that that's how everything was. I mean, we would drive to Florida on Sundays like an hour and twenty minutes away if we like ran out of natural lights, Like who's going to Florida today? Because I also grew up around like rivers, like trashy river culture and boarding, which is like not a town, not anything. I used to skim board to ride for half a second, yeah, and then eat it, and then yeah it was I think skiboarding was fun. You guys could get up doing that I tried water skiing twice and I couldn't get up in my water skier. I can slallow them. I can do People don't know because my family has a little lake place, so like I learned, and we actually would go visit one of my dad's friends all growing up, and I learned to ski as like a child as a baby. They have these little kiddie skis where they're like roped together so your legs don't spread. So I learned, like as a four year old, you can do anything if you start as a kid. Truly, it's like a skill that I won't lose, you know. Okay, how about this for just for a topic of discussion. Oceans are legs? What's better? I'm gonna talk about it on moss cultures. I don't love stagnation. I agree with you. I prefer I don't prefers. I like fresh water, but I don't prefer salt water to fresh water. I do you you do? I prefer the salt water. I love to just drink a little bit on accident. I think it is a little bit of a thrill. I get at yeah, but I prefer oceans. Okay, I prefer oceans to and Josh I'm a lake, which you are. I was always an ocean gal, but now because my family has this place is like my favorite place in the world. The only thing lacks is my favorite beach activity along beach walk. So you can't go on along beach walk, get hot, then want to jump in the ocean that sum, you lay out on the dock, you play games, you do whatever, you can walk around the neighborhood. It's the same. But I also like the attachment to the gravitational pull of the moon and seeing the tides, you know. So, and that was really beautiful the way you said that was really beautiful. What a very cool way to describe, you know. Yeah, and he's like, I love the tides, the gravitational pull. That's where he's a star. Josh I booked the gig. My god, he's talking about the Yeah, all right, Well, can I ask you a question because we've briefly touched on you said you mentioned your childhood and you know, on Lost Cultures, that's one of the things that we do is a question that we ask am I right, Meg is weird and me I always host as you know Lost culture always. These are the two and we should just acknowledge that Bowen Yang is not here tonight because he passed away about twenty minutes ago. Um, so you he yesterday he was so he knew he was going to wait off. Here's no time for a moment of time. Actually a right tightly scheduled um um. But we should say bo Yang God rest in peace. Um. But what we ask is what was the culture that made you say culture is for me? So this is like defining pop culture in your life growing up as Georgia barn trash. Right, Yes, that's that's actually kind um. I A big turning point for me, and this is gonna be gross, but a big turning point for me was seeing the movie Scary Movie Too. Okay, Okay, I know, I get it. That movie is very funny. I have never seen I forget when they still comedy. I didn't even see one. I went with my understand. No, I hadn't even seen this stuff that the source material was based on. I haven't seen hardly any of them. But I was like these this is funny, Yeah, this is funny, and guys, it's fully naked gun at times. Yeah. I mean I haven't seen it since it came out. Yeah, it's I mean, it's it's very good. When do they turn bad the Scary Movie franchise. I don't think they ever got bad. I think yeah, I mean I say, which is not the same. I have to tell you something. I disagree with you. I feel that three is very good. Really do you remember in Scary Movie three Regina Hall? Who is my queen? Unbelievable, unbelievable, my queen. I maybe she's a She's like someone I would love to have on the show. I just like her dead in the eyes and teller that I think she's the queen. The scene in Scary Movie three, Yeah, when Simon Rex and yes I do know his name. Yeah, he's a former game porn star as well. Oh yeah, that's right. He jacked off on cam. That's right. He did name start movie three jack off looking up? Um you can't find it. Um. So basically he leaves a room and it's like a classroom and a bunch of crayons at the door, and Hall just goes know who the fund did that? And then a custom the next sea. Yes, yeah, yeah, it's good. It's a random it's a random little moment. It's very very blackout and then I started like, yeah it is, and then I started sort of like being like, oh, that's from I would I would reference the jokes and be like, you know, that's from a thing. And then I started sort of starting seeing parody. I see, So you didn't know that was I didn't. I That's how dumb I am was. Can I ask you a question? So that was what you had to be? What thirteen fourteen when you saw Yeah? I think around then I wasn't allowed to see any My parents would go to this thing on screen, it dot com that counts our words the s words are you know, the one words but the same thing. Uh yeah, yeah, it would. It would it would rate the movie. Yeah. There also was a Christian version of it too that I forget what it was called, but it would. It would like talk about if they were also just like blasphemous thing, Oh yeah, like anything. My My mom was like, we ain't trick or treating. That's the devil's not and we ain't doing it no nothing. I was all like blasphemous. We like, we don't and it's really crazy because she was like, we don't play around with that because it will get ahold of you. If you, if you bring yourself to it, it will come the real belief in the dark. Yeah, so it wasn't It made it even scarier. It made Halloween even scarier because it was this is real and you shouldn't mess around with it, right, So I didn't see anything but screen. It was fun because it would literally like catalog everything. It would and it would be really descriptive. As far as the sex stuff, it would be like you know, like feels a rest, like you see half a tip. Yeah, there's maybe they are maybe gonna there's a suggested hook up here, like even really like pulls, like they grazed shoulders and they looked at each other. We would think about the reviewers for that, like that person furiously sketching notes of like every like you have to have some sort of grid layout on paper where you can just tally mark, and you also have to be yeah, you have to be a little bit creepy yourself. Reading into everything was like the bulge was huge. It was a big bulge like you would you would look for the bad thing and so okay, so fast forward to now who you are being a real heathen on television? So are they support are they support to you. Yeah, they're they've always been. Um, they think I'm funny, but they and But I also like kind of play into like I'll do church jokes for my mom, Like, because my first real experience with comedy was funny pastor and Christian comedian. I love any because the they the moments, the timing is so well, because it's constant, you can bring it down and then joke out and bring it down and joke out because you're being serious. So I was obsessed with There's a guy named Mark Lowry who was a Christian comedian who would be like I went into when there are too many uh, when there are too many animals in the in the manger? Can we get a few of the animals there? It's just like four horses but not one spider exactly. It's stuff like that that I still think is very funny. And that's funny, Oh my god, because what if you don't want all those horses? Yeah, I don't want any spiders. Really should be based on white and utility. Yeah, okay, cool, I'm into this now. I'm leaving an all the handing going back to that. Yeah, it's I mean, you have a reference base that you can just kill like any It's just like me Shack and a bed Nego burning joke, you could just nail at any moment. It's the most localized version of observational comedies. You're like, I have a room where I know you know this one set of can do. And if I know the stats, you inherently think I'm good because I know the Bible. And also if coming from a position of authority, it's just like, especially in that atmosphere, it's like, we respect this person. And so even even in your mind, if you think this is not that funny, that's not what you're expressing out true. Did you listen to contemporary Christian music too, because I was deep into that before. I love secular music, talk audio, adrenaline. He fr um Jars of Clay about Yeah, yeah, I'm facing away from you now. Yeah. It just turned away from me because it will suck you in, and by it I mean me you will. One of my friends now dates a woman who was previously married to one of the people in Jars of Clay, and the first time I met her was very hard not to be very strangely starstruck, like I had all these stars of click questions and what was her view on divorce. I think I think she sort of fell out of the church and then they think they got married young. I'm not, but I wonder what because anytime sort of a Christian artist would go through something like that, it would be the end of your career. But also some of the most powerful moments. They're losing everyone, right, so you can go and say, like, you know, I've really reckoned, I've learned, and it must make you question as well, like you know what I mean, Like this aspirational person is going through it. It's like what maybe something else? No no, no, no no, no, yeah, yeah, it's it's it's strange, but talking. Do you know about Carmen Carmen, Yes, the Messiah three. It was a James Bond themed um album that this man named Carmen did and it like had it had as Like I liked that that theme James Bond themes song, so in my head I would go. I went to Carmen's concerts and I was sat in the balcony and my mom still tells the story to the day, to this day because she was so proud of me. Because they usually at the end of these concerts are like, all right, we're going to do a prayer and if you want to bring money down, come get saved. And I from the balcony asked my mom for twenty dollars and took it all the way down to the stage and she was like, oh my gosh, he is He's like he's a Christian, you know yourself. Yeah, But I remember I got saved so many times, saved three times for the Power Team. Did you have the Power Team down there gut and beat through bricks and stuff. And then they'd be like, come up, if you want to be saved. Ye, they would help us live all those weights. And he can to Oh my god. Actually realized this recently. I was home. I'm fucking freaking out a Greek Orthodox church, but we had a lot of Greek. I was home for the holidays. We're watching an old thing because when I was like nine or ten, I would make fake James Bond movies and cast my three old brother in them. And and there's one where I'm doing the title credits and I'm just like filming pieces of paper I wrote on on the floor, and the music playing is Karmen's version of not even the real James bawling because that was like what I had at the time was that that's like what I'm playing on a CD player while I fill this made me starring my brother as it made me feel really cool. I would listen to that tape and just like roll around on the floor and pretend I was holding a gun and like be like, yeah, Jesus. Also the bad guys you know, Wow, would have loved the Power Team. I would have loved you describing them. I would would this guys you ever saw insensitive because girth ankles, Yeah, I love it. First time I meet a guy, I'm checking out the ankles. I'm saying, are they broken like mine? Because I need someone to carry me around. My ankles are broken. I just crushed into a comedy show leaving the room. Um anyway, but yeah, they my parents are. They think I'm funny. But sometimes they're like, that's just not for us. Do they watch this show? Uh, they haven't seen this show yet. They're gonna watch it because it's your first, big, big, big thing. Yeah, yeah, but I think they will. I mean even when we're watching a movie and there's a sex scene, they're like, all right, that s enough and They're like fast forward it and I'm very on them now about like we need to see these things. Yeah, and but everyone in the room masturbase, right, I go like too far. I'm like, I'm tired of this shame. Watch look at my butt hole, you know, like I'm too far. On the other side, I've lost my mind. And they're like, he's out of his mind. But I remember the first time I I showed my dad they're porn. Yeah, I sat him down. I was, yeah, he's in this movie. He jerks off here. You see his butt hole too, you do you know in the porn that he does. I know all the cultures this fans. They're furiously googling right now to find Simon Rex butthole porn. You can find it. But the first time there was a Talladega Nights the DVD commentary is kind of the first time I ever sort of heard improv long form improv. They were doing a monos this is disgusting on the insidery a mono scene from fifty years in the future where they were commenting on the filming of the movie. So they had all changed. That was their commentary, Like a boat like his career was ruined mcbrear waghed like eight hundred pounds and was eating fish out of a bucket. It was so funny. I was like, what is this? This is like funny line? What is this? And I and I would listen to it over and over again, and then I let my dad here we were on a family vacation. I was like, Dad, you gotta hear this. I was so happy and I played it for him and he was like, what is this crap? Who are these subversives? He did not love hated it. He's like, I stand up, why are they lying? Like and see, that's the thing. I never even think about it. Yeah he would. You would have been so mad when Philip is Sue cried, I know she doesn't mean it. Why is she lying? So he I knew it that moment. Oh we're gonna just like different things. Yeah yeah, yeah they did they ever come to see improv shows or they're not really making enough l Yes? When I got on another gross inside or anything on Harold Night, if you're talking, if you're thinking, we're not grossing insidery here on me? Okay? Good. They know I've been on Mad. They know I've been on the character's welcome. Sorry HBM is saying you're not peaking enough. Meg. Anyway, go on, you made it onto Harold Knight. No, it was big for me. I tried three years in a road like, trying so hard. I was obsessed with it. Finally got on a in l A. Yeah. I had done a couple of shows and then my parents were gonna come. And so I were in the second group of the night. Um where we are the second group of the night, So I know my parents are out there. I'm super nervous. I go out there, I perform, I come back in and the team who had gone before me was like, hey, uh, your dad was just back here in the green room. And I was like, oh during my set, and they were like yeah, so apparently my dad had in the middle of the show, gotten up, walked the not towards the exit. This is used to be frankly threw that curtain into the green room, rummaging through the coolers, gotten himself a coke. Somebody said, sir, can I help you? And then somebody was like, oh, I know that's that's Drew's dad, And they're like, you know, Drew's on stage, and he was like yeah, it just got too nasty for me. I love that. So he had excused us, right, had it gotten absolutely nasty and not funny? Do you remember what I'm sure? No? No, I mean because the first time I took my parents, like first semester of college, I just started improv. We were in l A. I was like, we have to go see Ascat. It's the thing, the whole first like run off the monologue is a long run on the idea, comedic idea of wound fucking. You shoot someone with a gun and fuck their wound. That's what happens when young people get on stage and do whatever they want. Well, I mean that is nasty. That is nasty. Hello, I'm I'm hugging the back wall, just shaking my head. Any set I'm involved in. Yeah, you're very judgment me on the back line, though, me on the back line is more terrified. Really, I had never I was never so funny. I feel funny, um in terms of like like my life and doing sketch, but in terms of probably never felt good about it. I think I started it too young. Okay, I started doing it as nineteen ye really, but I never thought I was one of the greats, but I don't think I'm built for it. I think I was good at it, but there's people who are like, oh, you were made to do this, and I never felt like it was that. I always felt like I could do pretty well. You do something happens through when you do improv, you're very focused. Yeah, because it's it's like sort of work. It is hard. It can be really hard. Yeah, well, I mean it looks fun though. I mean it can be fun now that I don't care, right, Yeah, that's what it's so hard to like, Oh, you can't be funny until you don't care, and you can't not care until you've been funny for a long time. It's a weird thing. I think. I honestly think if I started to do it now, just my sheer comfort with myself would allow me to be more free on stage, like it does when anything I was, like hosting something, I think that never have hosted anything when I was I've been fucking terrified. But it's got to be a majority, just come for and allowing yourself to I'm gonna say it. I don't think, oh my god, he said the said how I can't believe that? Did you were you ever in New York for an extended period. I was. I lived here from two eight really yeah, oh yeah, pre comedy right pre about UCB. Yeah, like right as I was about to go to l A. And I mean, it's a long story. My sister is talented one of the family. Okay, pause, yes, I know you from way back. Really because I watched American Junior, did not. I watched American Juniors, and I may have even cast a vote for Miss Caitlyn. I don't know. I don't know. Well, Drew was in the show, but I of course didn't didn't clock him that. I was much more focused on Miss Kate. Of course, Miss Caitlin Tarver. But there was also another one. I mean, you can never forget John. See. Yes, Chauncey was unbelievable. He's saying moon River and he threw the glitter. Yes, my god, wait from as American Juniors. Okay, because I never saw I just heard you. This is just so insane. My little sisters were the talented ones of the family, all right. They sang dance that, and I had no talent, so I would just sneak my way into their bits. I'd be like, oh, you guys singing brother for sale at the pageant. I'm going to be the Yeah, oh you guys are doing a thing at church. Can I be one of the wise men, you know, I'll be a funny wise man. Whatever. So they started singing. They were like singing pageants and going around doing the Sweet Onion Festival. They would do a tap number, you know it was they were sweet onions, big. Yeah. My sister came, you can make Vidalia. That's good. Sweet Onion Festival are making me say, y'all know y'all. So she and my other sister, Amanda was also She was like five years old and was ing and remembering full routines. Anyway, they audition. Both of them audition the year after American Idol for a spin off called American Juniors that uh Seacrests hosted and be as Gladys Knight was the Judge Night. How many seasons of it were there? One? Just one? Just one? Yeah, they only did it one time. I think we've ran them out of business. They're like, see, even Seacrests can't deal with the target. Tarberts ran through the Coca Cola budget. Yeah, always going where's the fountain side? Just got too nasty for me, so they audition. One of my sisters gets on the show. They fly the whole family to l A. Because it was too mean to vote kids off of a show, so each week they would vote a kid onto a five person group. Yeah, to be my managed by Simon Cowell, so this was big. We had never basically never been out of Georgia. We're in l A. I immediately go to Melrose eye by a von Duch hat and a white belt. Yeah. I was like, give me inside of a guess, I'll take everything that's on that weird uh model, Like did you have bleach blonde hair? Oh? Yes, the most peroxided bowl cut, like hard little Aaron Carter, I'm heading crazy. You mentioned him. I I met him at the hotel room when I was living in l A. That summer. At the hotel room is the context. That's how it began, because you know she goes both ways. Yes, yeah, um, yes so she I she She was on the show for ten weeks and we would sit on the side of the stage, the whole family and Chris Summer three. Yeah, they just well, my dad would go back and forth. My dad runs a candy factory, in Georgia. Another insanes and this is fucking great. My dad took a break from the candy coming down wrapping him. Yes, yeah, just like I love lou You're coming down wrapping him boy. And uh so they would they would like throw to us, like Kaitlyn, she sang, ain't no mountain high enough? What do you think tarvers? And we'd be like, whoa, she is a star, you know. And eventually it felt like week after I was always made sure I was up there. I was like, I gotta be up there. I just feel like I'm part of this and I feel Ciccos would throw to us and I'd be like, I would be like, hey, you know, Carrot Top was at the hotel last night. You know, I would talk, Yeah, whether he would throw to us, and they'd be like, yeah, just banter and we'll cut out, you know, we'll we'll get some stuff. But I didn't know, so we were just talking. We would like talk, and my they eventually started taking our microphones away, like by the end of it, they're like my mom and my little brother were the only ones who had a microphone because they would just be like, we like her, the only ones who could be trusted not to be Like I had a case this morning exactly. I never had some look at my Hollister shirt. It's new, you know, like that tags on just in case. Yeah, I am turning that right after the show. Did she get on? She did not get on. But we were out there for eight weeks, just like you know, hanging out in Hollywood, and she they sent us to Vegas as a consolation prize and then yeah and then she she like, uh but from there, um we went back. They shipped us back to Georgia. I went to my senior year high school, took my bond duch hat off white belt, you know, through it in the calouse. I was like, that's that's it for that lifestyle. That was the look for that era. Yeah, I can't do that anymore. I guess. Let me move on to a football shirt from Hollister. And uh, you just did a ninety degree turn at Hollister and you said this is yea yea more coral polos. I was also a poukall kind of guy. Oh yeah, yeah, because yes, Hoisters, what I w I was more American eagle and I sort of just looked like a youth pastor. Hey a let's bow when I want to do a quick Q one check in with everybody. What were your extracurriculars. Well, I yeah, who honestly question, I've been sort of trying to who who am? Who was I? Where have I been? You be? Who am? I? A lot of that, And I mean I remember being I was discussingly enough class clown. I know that's a gross thing, um, but yeah, I just remember being goofy. And there wasn't really you a social drifter, because that's what I was. Yeah, I was like funny so that I could like sort of, you know, fit in with everyone. Did not have anyone to actually know that. Yeah, I didn't. Like I played basketball for a little while, but I didn't. I quit that, and then I played golf for a bit because you could get out every Monday all day for the last like nine weeks of school. But I remember, I yeah kind of. But I also graduated with seventeen kids in my grade. So it was that's fucking it's crazy insane. There were chickens in the well. My chicken. Yeah yeah, the chicken who taught me Spanish is actually very good, very accents perfect. Yeah, yeah, it was very good. Um. But yeah, it's so it was just so rural. I can't even say the word rural. That's how country. Yeah, that's that's when you went to New York. Yeah. So my sister I was I went to college for a semester. If you're not smart enough to get into u g A, which is not smart. Was at the time of the Hope Scholarship. Yes, oh yeah, they were giving it. You could get free tuition if you or something like yeah you could. Yeah. So I took advantage of that. Went to a school right next to you g A where you can transfer in if you get your grades up, which know it's called Gainesville State. My dad went to you oh ship Go Dogs Go Dogs. That was them, The Dogs, The Dogs, Yeah, d aw justific. Yeah. But at that point, my sister had gotten a record deal in Long Island, like a city. Yeah. It was a really weird like, wait, we're going to New York but we're recording. I've been there to just be like guys, no, don't don't go. Yeah. She was with a little label in Long Island and they came up here to record like some pop techno album with her, And I was like, get me my Vonda chet, get me my white belt. He's going to New York. So I came up here with them and they stayed for three months and I met enough people cater waitering and stuff, you kind of like couch surf and that's how she hung on two after college or in the middle. No, this was when I was eighteen nineteen. Yeah, so you said for at the college, I'm staying. Yeah, I said forget it. With the goal of I didn't know. I knew I wanted to be an actor, but I was like, oh, yeah, I want to be funny, So you just gotta be a good actor first. So I started going to acting classes. In the acting class that teachers like, you're bad. You're bad at this, and I was like, well that's why I'm it's a class. I want to get better. And they're like, I don't know if this is for you. Just we're bad at calculus. Yeah, you have to leave. Yeah. It was a way to break me down to make me better, like because it was a serious class and I think they were looking to like break me down and build me up, but they were just breaking that. I was not coming back together after the breakdown, right. I was just kind of like, uh, And it's pretty it's pretty weird the way that they think things are going to help people like like, I mean, I went to ny U Tish and I didn't study acting, but a lot of my friends that did, like depending on the school, like it just was too much for them, the rejection. And I guess, I mean, I guess that's a certain thing. They think they're reflecting what the industry is, but sometimes I think they're doing that, yes, but sometimes it's like I think you just want to be an asked. You want to inflict on all this what's been inflicted on you. And the thing is people can learn a thing without you having to do it to them literally, but you could like prep a person in a way while still being kind of like the industry is not. It's kind of just this and you know this because you're human with a big brain who can understand ideas. I'm not going to mimic that. I don't have to be like, yeah, see this is what choking feels like. I can get it without you doing it. Yeah, you can just explain it that. I know. I know it probably feels bad, so you. But I found out about UCB through that like failure, and one day we did like a little improv thing and I don't know, I probably mimicked a Mad TV character and people laughed and they were like, they were like, that's Stewart, but you should go to UCB, and so you did, and that's kind of where you it clicked for you. Yeah. I saw the first classes in New York. Yeah. Yeah. The first show I saw was a Stepfather's show and I saw like which era it was, uh, um, miss or Shannon and Chris Gether but not will Hones probably. I don't think will Hines yet. Um, But yeah I took because still a part of my brain that remembers UCB stops. Yeah, you know, like it will never go away. Yeah, like the Herald team exactly, and I can name most of that's why. Yeah, it's like straight guys in baseball, where it's like you learned at a certain pointance and printed in your brain and it was like that U c B at that time. That was yeah, the the time, it was. Yeah, I remember everybody was a rock star and you just I just sat on the floor there for like a full year, um, and then moved to l A. I knew there was one in l A, so I started doing it there and kind of started over when I got there. I didn't know anyone. I would just go to shows and be like, you're funny. Are you going anywhere? After this? You think why didn't you go? Because you like started U c be here? What led to be? Like, I'm ditch in New York. I I was dating someone, uh and she went and I went for the lover for the love. You never follow a woman, actually, rule of culture number eighteen. Yes, you never follow a woman. And we need male doctors. I'm going to say it against Jesus Christ. We need male doctors. Was she also an improviser? She was an actor? She was she was an actor slash doctor. Yeah, she was Katherine. People are often both. Yes, yeah, yeah, it's a it's a crazy there's a lot of doctor's appointments that get canceled if you have an act like I have a commercial edition for Duncan Doughnuts for Comcast. Yeah, I just saw, I just saw. I just saw my um my foot doctor on SVU. This is a version of Christian comedy like these people. So that was funny for me. We love it. You have criminal minds. That's a good one too. Alright, dropped that um um okay. So here's the thing I want to talk about the show a bit. Yes, I love the show and I texted you thank you for that really quite earnestly. Yeah, no, it felt it felt great. I mean I've been doing a lot of goofs this episode character, but I love the show. Thank you so much. And you know, we had Helena on UM and we're having Chris and Sarah, so we're doing a whole I mean, is going to know that we love the other two. So this is kind of like your first big big thing. Yeah. I mean we've seen you on subway posters for it wasn't I was like, you're on the subway. Yeah, yeah, but that was This is the first time I'm not on a show that when I promoted I don't have to go here's where it is used promo code true to get a free month, Like I don't have to do that, which is nice. Now I just have to say I think it's channel until I don't really know. Um, it depends on your but it's very it's a cool. Yeah, it's my first thing that people can find. Yeah, it's got to be cool to be a part of two. Because what I said was like, and you've seen a bunch of it now I was like, I think a lot of people are going to feel very seen by it, and I think that's like a testament to like very much Chris and Sarah who really just seemed to fucking know just exactly the way we want to hear things. And it's just like just so smart, like talk a little bit about like when you are just thing for it getting this. Yeah, and you knew them from before. Yeah, I knew them just from around backstage, you know, at UCB and stuff. And obviously I knew they're stuff from SNL. I loved all their stuff on SNL. And I read this script and I, I mean, you guys know what it's like. I hadn't done much without a fake mustache on, just screaming in a wig, and I always say, no, it's not And I always wanted to do something thing that was, you know, closer to myself for grounded um, and there's nobody better. I had seen Chris's movie Other People, obviously, and it's so good. Other people, the other two, Yes, Saturday Other Night Lines. Yes, he's he's powerful. Um. But yeah, so I I just I read the script and and loved it. So I just I reached out to my agent, they're He was like, they're not auditioning people, yet they come here in two weeks to cast it. And I was like, can I just please make a tape and I'll, honestly, I'll I'll cross some boundaries, some personal broundaries that I maybe shouldn't to get this tape to them, and I think I may be emailed Chris and I was like, listen, I know you're writing on the best season of one of the best shows and you're very stress but if you want to take a look at this, and it was he you know, he looked at it, and then I auditioned for it. When they actually came, he was onto that email. I don't truly that's brazen in a positive way of thing that I have trouble doing, like I have trouble, not just like sort of being like put my name in. I can't like be the guy who's like, I'm gonna just I think it required my agent telling me like this might be the chance to do something over the line and I didn't remember, which is like, you do know, Chris, it's not out of anywhere, and he wants to see you anyway for it. It's like it's not like you're just yeah, And I was like, just just take a look at this, um because I also think there was something going on where I was. I maybe was going to be out of town for a couple of days when they were there. You needed to take a leap. I just needed to do it. So I sent it and they were like, this is great. We are busy, you know. I don't know if they even even responded, but I think I got word that he had seen it and was like, great, I'd love to see you when you come in town or or go read with the actual casting director. And then I just auditioned a few times and ended up getting it. You know. It's kind of like I can totally understand like acting that way about it because watching the show, you know, we only get so many roles like that, you know, you only get you only get an opportunity to actually play someone where you're like, oh, I know this person actually, yeah, like I've seen it on television, look like a like a character that's the gay lead. I don't see it. No, it's it's so I remember just being like, oh, queer actor in the show, queer in real life, I need to really. It just was so special to make this role and it felt like, honestly, it felt so close to me. I was like, are they making fun of me right because my sister was my sister? Yeah. I was like, this is too weird because the show is about a little Yea had the version of this from fifteen years Yeah. I told them about it and they're like, that's crazy. What is YouTube D You did for over a year? Like I actually got to I told christ and Sarah that I was like, I worked at this thing. Like I actually was like the person who was out on the street you were. I was like the thing that you do in the show when I was westab when I was watching it, I was like, oh my god, because I literally they don't do exactly what you do in the show, but you are like a singer and I kid you not. It was the bus would go by and they were like, look at this guy, and they were like, what's your talent? And I was like, well, I sing a bit and then I this is the song I sang. I swear to you. I know you're lying, your lips are moving, tell me do you think? And the Megan Trainer eighth song you think of for Megan trainer. So I was like, it's all what you did in the show was almost as pathetic as it actually was. Yeah, put it entertain a lot of people, but I was like, it's crazy how specific this is. It's fair. It's very strange too, because almost sometimes I felt like am I on a comedy right now? It's so funny, but there are storylines from my character that felt when I was in it, acting it and doing it, I was like, Oh, this is it's scary and vulnerable. I would say there's a lot of there's a narrative threat of kind of like narcissism and sort of like social media obsession and um sort of like just not seeing or hearing other people for a bit because you get caught up in this kind of narrative of attention and it's it's very um applicable to what I think we all go through. Oh yeah, yeah, it's it's a it's a really good show. I'm I'm excited about it. And yeah, there's a bunch of themes in it that you don't see a lot because I think it's because I think it's because a lot of people that try to tackle the ship like they're not smart enough to know because they're in it. And so that's why I like with Chris and um Sarah. It's like it seems like they're just like uncommonly like just aware and intelligent and able to see this thing and to reflect upon this thing because and and also don't be able to create comedic situations out of it. Because I was watching it, I just put my fingers in the tea. Did you see that my fingers and put it in the tea and then you were going to clean your hands with it? Did you think it was water or I don't know what the fund just happened. I saw it and was so I thought it was so crazy. I looked up put my hands in the tea. I didn't know. I wanted to ignore it because I was like, that's something, that's a that's a thing he does. He puts his hands in tea while filming point about how they're created to this shower like super smart. I'm like my hands in my own fucking trying. One day, you'll one day you'll be able to reflect on this though and turn it into something. I think exactly I'll be able to see this moment at some point. But what I'm saying is like it feels like such a right now thing. I almost can't even believe that was written a year ago or a year and a half ago, whenever it was, because it feels like right now. It's like we are fully, fully, fully obsessed with you know that episode where you're like running to try to get Instagram followers, like insta Instagram gaze. That was crazy. It just Wolf. You've seen that one too, Yeah, yeah, it's pretty Wolf. Yeah, And it's just like that is a real thing. Oh yeah, those people I know. Yeah, but I think the show does such a great job with it. Never villainizes my hands in the tea and I can't it over? No, no, no, we I was it to clean them? What was it? I think I was reaching for the for the handle and they went in the tea. Did you think, like I just want a little bit of tea, I'll just like kick it up and I don't want to full And then, honestly, my instinct us play this offer. It's he's dipping his hands. Don't make it a weird thing. He likes to suck to you off his fingers. Be chill show. You're a guest here, let him you can put that thing on his head, like Instagram for having that. Yeah, it's it's it could be much more cynical and and really like make fun of social media stars or or the people they are, you know, sort of making fun of a little bit. And it always makes the main characters are the ones who are right. My character was wrong. Yeah, exactly. So, man, there's some stuff with like your love interest in the season where I was like no, I was literally screaming at the at the at the computer. I was like, no, no, do my thing. No, m But you know, maybe that's a spoiler. We'll talk later. I don't know when this one's coming out, but I don't want anyone to know that things happen with the love interest. Yeah, there's some things that happened. There's some things that you were referencing earlier, the thing in the plane. Okay, okay, I mean we've honestly, like, whenever I talk to anyone else that has seen the whole season, we all talk about the plane. Yeah. Yeah, there is some like emy Worthy ship going down with Molly Shock later in the season. Yeah, that was the first episode we filmed, seriously, first week. That's what we started with. And you must have been like, wow, what show did I think? I was, Yeah, I was shocked. Actually I saw you at Game show, yes, and that must have been right around that time, and I was like, how's it going, and you were like it's a lot of acting. I was like yeah, and I know we just dropped into especially tough um you know, and I was I was just kind of shocked of just like, Okay, this is some real high level stuff like get it together, it together. Yeah, you're not gonna quick. And she was like, you're just you're just as bad. Do Stewart again? Do Rusty Stewart do any Michael McDonald character and mcbear character on the plane. Oh my god. Then honestly like, where is that acting teacher? Now? How about that? And doubt she is not unless she is not. Okay, then it stands she is not. And dad really taught at n y U a lot of my friends and then she is. Now she's a stark. It's wild. Yeah, I love it. So those teachers she didn't study acting, No, I didn't. I was a writing major, so I I got into sketch comedy and like while I was in school, kind of similar to you as a roundabout way of being like, I want to be an actor, what's a way I can get on stage? So I auditioned for the Sketch group and was like, oh, I kind of like being a clown up. Yeah yeah, And then Sketch was my life for like a decade um until yesterday when I decided never again. Yeah. I saw that that big push on social media that you're moving on. Bone was so shocked that he died forty minutes. I know he lost his life. I did not know it was from that that push he lost his life. He lost his life because he was He was like, what are you gonna do with all these uhs? And I was like, um, I'm giving them to you. And I was like I thought you could have some use for them now and now that you work at SNL, because like to bring your own props and stuff. Of course, I was like, it's a famous thing about SNL is that everyone provides their own wigs and props um. And he had a heart attack. It's a little herd stopped. We remembered, you bowen, We still don't have time for the moment. Let me say something. We're on a schedule, so we don't have that moment of silence. But we do absolutely have to do Unlessia you sit back in that chair, baby boy, because we were doing I don't think so, oh my god, this isn't get one together. So listen, I don't think so, honey, is the segment that we always do on last cootrests. Yes, that is the name of this podcast, not Las Costa Rica's as my father thinks. It's one minute to rail against something and culture that we are absolutely just fucking through with. And um, we are going on tour. So if you are living in the Portland's, Seattle, San Francisco, Vancouver, Boston, Philly, d C, Houston, Austin and Dallas area, you're on the list, God damn it. And also Brooklyn, we never forget about you, Bellhouse on don't shop to my show high um and uh, here we go so you can get tickets to that. Now, we don't have a website because that's how we roll, but you can go to my website, Matt Rogers Comedy dot com and under the show's page there's a link. Alright, So listen, We're gonna do me first because I have prepared one. This is and Josh, I'm gonna hand this to you, yes, um, and you're gonna fucking press start, and then you're gonna say and then one minute, let's roll. This is I don't think so, honey, starting now, I don't think so, honey. When you hook up with someone and you go in the morning to go to the bathroom and they have one of those roommates who is literally in the bathroom for a half an hour, I am a guest here, honey, and you know I'm here because your roommate is not quiet when he comes. All right, So listen, this happened to me last night. Yes, I did hashtag hook up last night. I love that, love sharing in that with another person. But the roommate this morning. How how much longer, honey, do you need to be in the bathroom? Seriously, I have shipped to do in there and I'm not gonna And there's no way to be like cute about it in the morning either, because like you leave the room, come back like she's still in there, and he's like okay, and then I have to fucking do a song and dance. I don't think so, honey, gets out. I am a guest in your house who fucking raised you. My mother raised me that, like, if my roommate is getting it in, you fucking clear up until he goes, or knock on the door and say I'm going in the bathroom making a compute comedic moment. Yes, I do knock on people's doors when they're having sex. Sorry, Sudy and her boyfriend ex boyfriend from four years and that is a minute. That is a minute. I used to do this thing where whenever I heard, oh my god, she's gonna be mad. Whenever I used to hear Sudi having sex, I would knock on the door and say I'm going out. I love that, and we'll listen. Don't you agree? Yes, yes, absolutely, get out. You can't take nothing should take that was there? Shower noises? Were there any like obvious? I'm I'm trying to that's the thing. I don't know what the girl was doing in there, but you gotta get out because it's like, of course, it's like one of these situations where it's like on with a roommate. I don't know what we're doing. Studio life, single life. I'm about to move into a studio. I have a studio, I have a place by myself. There you go and so now we don't have to do that in that life in two weeks. I can't wait. Maybe I should just started inviting guys over for just for and I don't think so any I had a vision of what it will be. That's okay, But anyway, Yes, have guys over. That's why you have a studio. Yeah, but I have a I have a subdivision on the other side of the wall is very thin. I can often hear the girl cooking. I feel I don't want to be like a studio is like, is she like I got two table smooths, or she's just it's just it's like a lot of covers being slammed, Like she's whispering, sounds like oh no, it's going oh no during sex. Obviously, I'm worried right now we're having roommates is the only thing that like gives me some restraint with the number of tricks I want to have over. Just be like, sure, do it. Sometimes people text me I'm like, in my roommates here, which usually means you don't need to have them over, They're good enough. I'm like, it doesn't matter my roommates here. I won't be embarrassed if they meet you. My note for you is less restraint. All right, God bless been done saying that God blessed anyway, it was really jarring this morning when I just had to pay so and also I'm sorry but fart and I had to I had to go in there, and it was just like, oh my god, how long could you take? Yeah? So, did you return back to the room having not gone? I did, because then it's the thing of like you don't want to be gone for a long time and then come back and be like I was just I wasn't taking a ship. I was just in the hallway exactly right. Did you explain to him like I couldn't get in Yeah, because I mean, what was I So listen, I just want everyone to think about that. And that's really why I want everyone. That's what I want of all my last culture listeners is just think about it. I just want you to leave every episode having thought, all right, Josh, this is your I don't think so, honey, And you said you had. Yeah, yeah, we'll see if it's good. But I had a vision related to the move. I don't think so, honey, And your time starts now, okay, great, So I don't think so, honey, Facebook marketplace. So I am moving to a studio to get more dick. I'm getting rid of some of my ship. I've been posting stuff on the Instagram, trying to sell some of it to friends, especially if it's like fancy stuff like oh a keyboard or amps, where it's like when did I have amps? You know? So then I couldn't get anyone to buy this amp? Fair fair. I'm not friends with you know, straight boys anymore, really, so who needs an amp? So I decided I'll see what the Facebook messenger has to have. I put it up there thinking it'll be fine. But it's not like Craigslist. Remember the craig would be like a wall where it's like they couldn't see who you were. Means, when it's posted, people are just sliding me Josh Sharp's d ms, you know, just frankly just going like what's up and saying rude ship, as if I can't see you fully. People message me going I bet it doesn't work. How is this help? What what do you get off on messaging me? I bet it does work? And and then and low balling me being like fifty dollars or whatever, I'm like, what are you doing in the seconds? And I want, you know, put it behind a veil let me answer if I want. Ultimately, I sold it to a lovely man named Brick. And that's one minute b r R bricks, b R I X bricks. Now now I don't like it. Yeah, I liked Brick. I don't like bricks. Bricks did did he first say probably doesn't work? No, bricks was Honestly, Bricks was the first responded because he was nagging you. He was that person was nagging you, and they clearly wanted to suck the Joshua shop. Yeah. And and honestly, Craigslist would like send it to a fake email and then you'd get it from there and then you could respond. They didn't like just get your email. Yeah, yeah, yeah, they don't get your email, which is first dick I sucked was Craiglist. That's crazy, josh Really, it was a different era. It was thee era. I didn't have the apps. Of course, the absent Glee I'm old happened at the same one years old and can email you about your dick and said probably doesn't work. Yeah, and they said fifty dollars. I think a lot of us have that Craigslist thing in common. I don't. I know of many young children. I did it once when I was in college. Fellow showed up was like I actually know you. I was like, whoa friend of my brothers. It turned out, oh, I don't like that. Did you go through with it? We did go through with it. It It was fine. But then I think he was in a place of shame after. So then I would see him on campus and I hate to say this, but he would literally like run away if he saw me, Like one time I saw him clock me and truly like turn and run. But then we became friends after we're both closeted. You know, it's tough. It's tough. Um, So listen. This is our guest, Drew's harms. I don't think so honey, and his time starts now. I don't think so honey. My stomach, I don't think so honey. You can't eat vegetables, well, I don't think so. What do your main mushrooms are too squishy and you don't like the you like the consistency of them. You can't You can't eat one salad a week, just one salad. I don't think so, honey, you get gas on planes, that's the play. That's the only most of the only place you get gas where where it really matters when you're sitting next to someone and you get full stomach gas like big maybe stomach. I don't think so, honey. Meat and cheese is only that's all you want. That's all you want. And also cheeses are bad for you, but that's what you want. You you get diarrhea when you eat cheeses, but that's the only thing you want. My stomach, I don't think so, honey, my stomach. You Oh, you can't do one day of almond milk in your coffee. You have to have milk. And I don't think, so, honey, what ist Why can't you be a normal and and I don't think so honey. You can't take fiber. It's one minute. We have to talk back this in real time. It kind of went back and forth between my stomach and my palate at the same time. I but I kind of like focused on my stomach. I hate my stomach. I'm sick of it. Has it always been bad? No? When you do eat a second weekly salad, well, I have the stomach. It I'm like I Trump for not eating vegetables. It hits hard with me, and I'm like Jesus am I him? And it's because your stomach says no, well it just goes yuck. This is bad. Like and I also was was never my palate is really trashy. I was only fed like super salted. I mean I was a chicken fingers kind. Yeah, girl, yeah, I don't know, so I never. I don't know what dressings to put, take a nap in the truck. Wasn't doing a chopped kale the house. She never did. She was like, hey, I'll not only have a can vegetable, but I'm gonna put bacon on it and salt and salt. So I'm really paying for that now. And I think I'm, you know, not late in life, but like, uh, I'm lactose intolerant too, but I'm hooked on all that stuff. To a lactape pill and go to town. I know. That's what my sister when we were My sister was seven, she had a friend Stacy that came over the house and my mom was like, do you guys want ice cream? And little Stacy, who was seven, she goes, oh, I do because I just had a lack type pill. My mom says, I can go to town, and I'm doing you because you have the darkness and I've caught it from she was from a dry county. You have to get ice cream. Yeah, you can't get ice because South. You know, your stomach is forcing you to be on the keto diet. What's wait, what's the keto diet again? Only meats? Yeah, right, I'm but it feels like there's there's a steak salad. I like near what it's got to be steak of course near UCB in l A. I eat Franklin and Company. I'll go there out. But that's not that is that I ran into you last time I was in l A. I ran into you a total chance and counter Josh Sprinklin and Co. The New Bird is that where people go for dinner before? I think it's I think you can go to either or it depends on what what person in the group Birds was the spot? Birds was the spot? Um? Now it feels like often I'm told to go there's also a Mexican place around the corner now that we'll go to sometimes. But well, yeah, we're all gonna go there because you could get mugged going around the world. Oh yeah, No, you don't want to go around the corner to the right. It's the cun of the I don't want to go across the street because that's a celebrity center of scientology and one time, and if I go even in there, they're gonna get me. I feel very succulate service. You've never had better weight service than from people in the culture. Actually, like and they paint so good on that. There's another little center where I think they get taught and stuff and the stuff and like film videos for themselves. It's like a studio and it's immaculate. It's gorgeous. I walk back, I'm like, this is great. I mean the main celebrity center looks like a Disney World. Yeah. I feel very susceptible to it because I'm like, I went to church for a long time. We got no good hook cups off it. Who who I'll go here? Go there? In the restaurant, I was like, where where's the restroom? And instead of doing like around the corner, he fully walked me there. It was a football field away. Like we went like a half mile and walked me all the way to the door. And then held the door rapping for me, and I realized it's probably because he's I don't want you peeking around nowhere. There's culture number eleven that's wrong with scientology. There's a lot that's wrong with scientology. And you know, I could sit here and just tickle each other's brands all night, but we got l s e oh over here. He just stood up and sat back down, And that means that Drew has to go continue his press tour. He's good, He's on the way to the Chevies to talk to UM. Good housekeeping with my mom. We're going to talk about embroidered pillows. That's unthrilling, also thrilling, Um this episode. Thank you so much for being You're a ball of joy and you this line. Hey, thank you for having me listen here to wrapped to my good sweet rural Southern sister. Now great. I can't believe you talking about Carmen. Honestly, I didn't even realize that you were the perfect guest host of this, but listen. Thank you all so much. Rest in peace, Bow and Yang.
