Trump’s Birthright Citizenship Order in Doubt

View descriptionShare

Supreme Court justices from both its conservative and liberal wings expressed skepticism about the Trump administration’s arguments in favor of the president’s executive order aiming to end automatic birthright citizenship. President Trump attended the hearing—the first known example of a sitting president attending arguments before the high court—but left after the administration presented his side of the case. The arguments ran about two hours. A decision is expected by the end of June.
