North Korea Fires Missiles, 2-Week Ceasefire & Hormuz ‘Field Trip’

View descriptionShare

North Korea has launched a projectile off its east coast, according to South Korea’s military, marking the regime’s latest show of force amid heightened regional tensions. Seoul says details about the weapon and its range are still being analyzed as officials monitor for further provocations.

The U.S., Iran, and Israel agreed to a two‑week ceasefire just hours before a deadline set by President Donald Trump, easing fears of a dramatic escalation in the war. Under the deal, Iran will reopen the Strait of Hormuz, a crucial global oil route, while the U.S. and Israel pause major strikes against Iran.

Independent research firm Citrini Research sent an undercover “Analyst #3” to the Strait of Hormuz and found shipping activity continued—despite satellite data suggesting a near-shutdown. Citrini’s field report challenges the narrative of a closed strait, with markets reacting as traders reassess oil supply risks.
