The Justice Department has begun the formal process to reschedule marijuana from Schedule I to Schedule III, a major shift in federal drug policy. The change would not legalize cannabis nationwide, but it could ease restrictions on medical marijuana, expand research, and reduce tax burdens for legal cannabis businesses. 

A Wall Street Journal report says rising drink prices are pushing adults to “pre‑game” again, drinking at home before going out — a habit once associated with college life. With cocktails now topping $18 in many cities, consumers are cutting bar tabs by arriving buzzed, reshaping nightlife habits and how bars think about pricing and profits. 

The Onion is moving forward with its satirical takeover of Infowars, outlining plans to transform the conspiracy‑driven platform into a parody of itself. The move follows Alex Jones’ legal and financial collapse, turning Infowars into a case study of how satire, accountability, and media extremism collide.
