A man launched a vehicle‑ramming and shooting attack at Temple Israel, a major synagogue in West Bloomfield, Michigan, crashing a car through the building, sparking a fire, and injuring a security guard before being “neutralized” and killed by synagogue security. All 140 preschool children and staff inside were safely evacuated, but 30 first responders were hospitalized for smoke inhalation from the fire caused by the crash.

Woman Named Alysa Liu Has Instagram Suspended

A San Francisco tech worker named Alysa Liu had her Instagram account suspended after Olympic figure-skater Alysa Liu won gold and caused a surge of fan confusion.  The suspension came after the skater warned of scammers on Instagram, leading Meta to mistake the other Alysa as an imposter.  

Nearly every region of the U.S. is facing extreme weather at once—from blizzards and a polar vortex in the Midwest and East to a blazing heat dome in the Southwest pushing temps past 100°F, rare March record highs in L.A., atmospheric rivers drenching Hawaii, and heavy snow across the Great Lakes.
