The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has announced 17 nominees for the Class of 2026, including major artists such as Phil Collins, Mariah Carey, Lauryn Hill, Shakira, Iron Maiden, INXS, P!NK, Luther Vandross, Wu‑Tang Clan, and more. Ten nominees including Hill, INXS, Etheridge, Shakira, and Vandross are on the ballot for the first time, with inductees to be revealed in April. 

Historians at Manhattan’s Merchant’s House Museum have determined that a hidden passageway found beneath a built‑in dresser drawer was likely part of the Underground Railroad nearly 200 years ago. The narrow, deliberately concealed shaft built by Joseph Brewster, an abolitionist drops about 15 feet underground and is now considered a rare, intact piece of architecture used to help enslaved people escape to freedom.
