On this day in history, Americans remember the 1996 arrest of the Unabomber, Ted Kaczynski, at his remote cabin in Montana.  The capture ended a nearly 18‑year nationwide manhunt after a handwritten manifesto — recognized by his brother — led federal investigators to one of the most notorious domestic terror cases in U.S. history.
