The Washington Post contends that the biggest winners from the settlement may be the lawyers and states involved in the litigation, not children. The board is skeptical that the restrictions Meta agreed to implement will have a lasting effect on teen social media use.

A startup called Operation Bluebird has officially launched a new social media platform, Twitter.now, arguing that Elon Musk's rebranding of Twitter to X effectively abandoned the Twitter name, logo, and related trademarks. 

A German artist and designer, Simon Weckert, has created a brightly colored, intentionally ugly shirt designed to make the wearer difficult for certain AI-powered surveillance systems to recognize as a person. The project, called Digital Camouflage, is meant as both a technical experiment and a commentary on the growing use of AI surveillance.

That reporting drew national attention because of concerns that license plate reader networks could be used to monitor people seeking reproductive healthcare.
