A Fresno home improvement store was hit by its third vandalism incident in a year after a rock was thrown through the front window, continuing a pattern of repeated damage at the same shopping center. Store managers say nearby businesses have also been targeted, repair costs are mounting, and boarded‑up windows are hurting both safety and customer confidence as they call for a broader solution to stop the cycle of destruction. 

Marine archaeologists in Denmark have discovered the wreck of the Dannebroge, a 19th‑century Danish warship sunk during the 1801 Battle of Copenhagen against Admiral Horatio Nelson’s British fleet. The find offers a rare, physical glimpse into one of Europe’s most famous naval battles, with cannons, personal items, and human remains recovered as researchers race to excavate the site before it is covered by a new coastal housing project.

Investigators say the scheme included fraudulent hospice care, with patients allegedly recruited and paid despite not being terminally ill, prompting a sweeping review of hospice providers statewide.
