Clovis Woman Celebrates Her 105th Birthday

Uber is rolling out a nationwide “Women Drivers” option that lets women riders — and teens using supervised teen accounts — request female drivers, while women drivers can choose to accept trips only from women.

The expansion comes even as Uber faces a California class‑action lawsuit from male drivers who argue the policy is discriminatory and violates the state’s Unruh Civil Rights Act, though Uber says the feature is a common‑sense safety measure driven by user demand.

Philip Teresi also takes a look at a report from The San Joaquin Valley Sun that says Fresnoland, a nonprofit media outlet, has been notably silent on two major Fresno stories, Assemblymember Joaquin Arambula’s rehab‑and‑divorce scandal and the illegal human‑compost controversy at Sumner Peck Ranch, even as the stories dominated other local news coverage.

The article points to Fresnoland’s financial and organizational ties to the Arambula family, including Joaquin Arambula’s brother serving on its board, arguing that these connections may explain why the outlet has avoided reporting on scandals that directly involve the family.

Arambula Divorce Filing & Family Law with Attorney Lacey Sanchez 

During a press conference in Florida, President Donald Trump said he is “disappointed” that Iran selected Mojtaba Khamenei as its new supreme leader, claiming the choice will lead to “more of the same problems” in Iran.

Pressed on whether the new leader is now a U.S. target, Trump called it “inappropriate” to answer but emphasized he is “not happy with him.”
