The city of Fresno has secretly covered utility bills at Granite Park, which is operated by a sports foundation, with $414,000 in taxpayer funds since early 2021. Reedley city leaders have adopted a temporary ban on future biomedical labs in an effort to prevent private companies from operating without oversight. The new moratorium goes into effect immediately and will last until the city amends its zoning code within the next six months.
