   I’m Bill Zortman and Welcome to our It’s YOUR Business Show---we start another week—and yes we’ll follow along with how those from South Dakota an neighboring states----making the trip to DC did last week—

   As a backdrop----a little more than 10 years ago---when our It’s YOUR Business Show----expanded from one to two hours---the 10:00 Show became heavy duty Agriculture……an old broadcaster I had worked with suggested---you can’t do a two hour radio show in South Dakota—without one of the hours being heavy duty agriculture.

   Having grown up on a farm in northwest Iowa---having worked with a national Farm Show out of Chicago as a correspondent----I knew that in South Dakota---we just needed to reach out to farm organizations---politicians----and long time ag leaders.

   That we did—so the 10:00 Show became the Agri Business Show---and we had help from South Dakota Farm Bureau---South Dakota Farmers Union---4-H-----and farm businesses.

   Today we are still doing business how in the 9:00-10:00—and Agri Business in the 10-11.

   What you also need to know is that last week---we provided plenty of guests who were looking for help in DC with the Farm Bill-----and they were more than willing to work with us---share what they needed---and how they were approaching law-makers.

    We heard from not only those in South Dakota---but neighboring states—and many of those in ag—who appreciated us covering and doing all we could for agriculture. Yes they were tuning into our shows and we knew we were there---to help explain…

     We’ll talk with a number of leaders in both hours—about why Farm Radio—is important----

     And we start with Congressman Dusty Johnson------(((taped segment)))

     We’ll talk more about the week in DC---in where else---our agri-business hour at 10:06

------Welcome back to It’s YOUR Business---after a week with people on the road—talking and sharing what all they were doing---we were happy to hear from so many people in neighboring states that truly appreciated what all we did this week ---from DC---we wanted to cover as well as we can-----big deal ---and there was a lot of interest---we were also pleased that leadership was willing to talk to us----about what was happening and the hopes for the future---

   Rob Larew—National Farmers Union President will join us in the 10:00 hour and we’ll get his take---should be interesting…

Smithfield –getting to build----

How the addition of a pork processing plant to the state’s largest industrial park has sparked conversation about responsible growth in the Sioux Falls Area---one said if smithfield gets to build we’re leaving—I have safety concerns and odor concernings ---and we are going to live with flies in the backyard

---we’ll keep a close eye on all---appreciate people noticing---
