That’s the bold claim made by the YouTube Channel Games Nexus

 A new video from Gamers Nexus details how LG televisions are constantly logging data from users and uploading it back to the company. And Gamers Nexus claims LG TV’s are doing this even when they are in standby mode or completely disconnected from the internet.

  Gamers Nexus says its able to do this due to the advertising functionality built into the devices.

   Gamers Nexus says that a majority of the issues it uncovered are related to LG’s Automatic Content Recognition (ACR) technology, which utilizes these eavesdropping capabilities to find out what a user is watching, what app they are using and what devices connect to the TV

  We know who is in the LG household, an LG representative said in a corporate video, which Gamers Nexus included in their investigation. We know which devices are there.

   We own the glass says another LG Ad Solutions rep in another corporate video, boasting about the company’s access to its customers.

   As Gamers Nexus points out, LG’s advertising platform, LG Ad Solutions, claims on its website that the company can detect 363 million “US addressable secondary devices, even though LG claims it as only sold 216 million LG TVs globally.

   According to Gamers Nexus, LG TVs also collect a user’s IP address, geographic location, the names of every local WIFI network and the IP addresses of other devices on the network.

   The Gamers Nexus video was created in partnership with You  TUBE channel Level1Techs and cybersecurity researchers known as Mr. Bruh and u-turn. It has already amassed more than 2 million views over the weekend.

   Should be noted that LG denies this claim.

Brandon Hanson---Downtown Sioux Falls has quite the list and it begins with today

Saturday is the big day.

Riverfest, presented by The Bancorp, returns Saturday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Cherapa Place, right along the Big Sioux River. It's one of Downtown Sioux Falls' biggest events of the year, it's completely free, and it's really our opportunity to celebrate the river and the community that's grown up around it.

We'll have live music throughout the afternoon, food and drinks, local vendors, family activities, and opportunities to actually get out on the river with guided kayaking.

And we're putting a little more emphasis on the river itself this year. Before Riverfest begins, the Downtown Residents Association, Pleasant Rock Neighborhood Association and Friends of the Big Sioux River are hosting a river cleanup from 10:00 to noon. Then Friends of the Big Sioux will be at Riverfest talking about conservation and water quality.

We're even adding Paws on the Plaza, a dog fashion show, so bring the whole family, including the four-legged members.

Riverfest is really a perfect example of what we try to do at Downtown Sioux Falls. Take a great public space, fill it with people and activity, and create another reason to spend time in the heart of our city. And when thousands of people show up, that activity spills into our restaurants, retailers and businesses throughout Downtown.

A huge thank you to The Bancorp for presenting Riverfest and helping us keep an event of this scale free and open to the entire community.

Friday, there are a few easy ways to start the weekend.

Sticks and Steel is celebrating an incredible 25 years in Downtown Sioux Falls with its anniversary celebration. That's 25 years of a locally owned business investing in Downtown, and absolutely worth celebrating.

Pomegranate Market's Friday Night Farmers Market runs from 4:00 to 7:00 with local food and handmade goods.

And if you want to get outside, Fernson's Fall Jaunt and Ghosts & Gears both kick off Friday. They're self-guided interactive bike rides that will run through October, one built around fall scenery and the other around some of Sioux Falls' stranger and spookier stories.

Saturday, I'd keep your calendar centered around Riverfest, but Sticks and Steel's 25th anniversary celebration continues during the day, and the Big Sioux River cleanup is a great way to start the morning before joining us at Cherapa Place.

Sunday is a little quieter. If you're ready for fall baking, Plum's Cooking Company is hosting Sourdough Sunday from 10:00 to noon.

But really, this weekend we're asking you to do one thing: come down to the river.

Riverfest is Saturday from 3:00 to 8:00 at Cherapa Place. It's free, it's for everyone, and we'd love to see you there.

   The have announced plans to establish a Tri-State Division in Soux Falls expanding its network of distribution centers supporting hunger-relief efforts across South Dakota, northwest Iowa and southwest Minnesota—the new SF distribution center and operations will help MFB provide food and essential resources throughout the Tri-State Region. They will engage and collaborate with the community to bridge the gap from where there is food excess to provide food access to those in need---
