Yes another COVID Surprise!! Nope not just a Sioux Falls or South Dakota or just nationwide ----Michael Saba explains after Congressman Dusty Johnson and morning Commodities.

 

Julie Johnson—SCORE –SD starts the show with some important reminders or news or don’t forget this. You could qualify---and we’ll try to update you this morning on the changes over-night---and what you need to know at 10:06.

 

10:16---Emmett Keyser—SD Game Fish and Parks---shares the second fly-in of sorts that ties to Pheasants and Business in our area and State. Yes there is the business hunt---with those much sought after businesses considering us----and for the Shoppers—Sioux Falls Arena 12 to 8 today and 10-6 tomorrow—a chance to meet socially and shop and discuss where we are. Emmett is our tour guide this morning – as he sets up at the Arena.

 

Darren Hefty—AG PHD---shares the importance of a Farmer’s Friday. There was a power surge or two Thursday from Baltic across South Dakota, Minnesota and Iowa---we just wonder about where we are for the harvest---and hopes. Before he talks nationwide at 2PM today—he shares with us at 10:22---

 

Around the half hour ---we’ll hear from two of the Mid-west Communication Farm Voices—Rick Shields in Mighty Michigan –and Sarah Heinrich—KFGO Fargo.

 

Matt Swenson---Swenson Commodities—has the morning numbers---whether it be the grains—the meat—the energy or lack there of---coins---and Wall Street numbers after a final forum for the Presidential gladiators ….

 

Congressman Dusty Johnson---serves as teacher, re-election candidate---and even a mouthpiece for South Dakota. He’ll share with us the urgency and the reality of COVID. What about helping the little people—or sometimes the big people that have been hard hit by this blasted beast. We’ll check his temperature---and find out what people are telling him.

 

Michael Saba—yes our trading State Legislator had some international meetings to discuss trade with many points in the Middle-East scheduled thru the next few days. However—COVID knows no President –knows no emperor, and yes is striking again. Earlier this week we broke the news of the South Dakota Speaker of the House Steve Haugaard—who did –after the Special Short Session come down with Covid. Fever to 105 degrees---couldn’t talk very well-----and what happened to him---is a scenario that should scare all of us.

 

Covid is not looking for just Blue voters---and it sees Red as well.

 

So with this getting to be part of ‘normalcy’ scenario—we’ll find out what has been happening since our last visit---and is it good news for those in the grain market business that truly need a prescription for promising futures.

 

Sadie Swier---Downtown Sioux Falls—goes thru the list of what to expect this weekend—nice list---good stuff---wear your darn mask and stay safe.

(DTSF) will host the Downtown Trick or Treat on Sunday, October 25, 2020 from 1:00pm - 3:00pm at various locations in downtown Sioux Falls.  This event has extra COVID-19 precautions to comply with CDC considerations regarding events and gatherings. DTSF encourages all participants to wear masks. Precautions will include contactless treat bags/baskets, sanitizing stations, and complimentary masks at several locations.    John Gaskins on our Friday’s traditionally gives us a look at the High School games being played over the weekend.

 

   With the playoffs looming—they were played last night. He’ll take us thru what we should see---and know. Surprises---and who still could go to the dome.

 

    And he’ll give us his thoughts about Big Ten Football returning---his Cornhuskers drew a hungry Ohio State Buckeye team that wants to be National Champions.
